The 15th Annual Winter Carnival is coming to the Morris MultiPlex in Morris, Manitoba, on Saturday, February 7, 2026. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the event will bring the community together for family activities while raising money for regional cancer-care services.
Families can enjoy a hot-dog barbecue, go tobogganing, skating, bouncy houses and pony sled rides, or take part in the popular “Celebrity Dunk Tank,” where attendees donate to dunk local town celebrities. Local businesses including Morris MB Home Hardware, the Morris Build All Centre, and Essence Hair Studio Ltd. are sponsoring the day to help support the fundraising goals.
Proceeds will support regional cancer-care programs; the event listing notes, “All proceeds support Cancer Care Manitoba.” The carnival has also partnered in the past with local organizations such as Central Plains Cancer Services (CPCS), a grassroots non-profit that serves more than 70 rural Manitoba communities and offers services including patient transportation to appointments in Winnipeg and resources for families affected by cancer.
This year marks 15 years since the carnival first began as a small local gathering. Organizers with Morris Area Recreation say the event has since grown into an important tradition that helps neighbours connect during the coldest months of the year.
