The Qalipu First Nation Education & Training Department will participate in the CNA Connector Career Fair in Corner Brook on March 24, 2026. The event is part of a provincial effort to help members, including those from communities like Mount Pearl, find new work and training opportunities. The fair is designed to give job seekers a direct way to meet with employers and learn about different career paths.
The event will be held in the Main Atrium of the College of the North Atlantic Corner Brook campus. Doors will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for Qalipu members and interested job seekers to explore local and regional job options and meet with recruiters.
The primary focus of the department’s participation is to connect First Nation members with specific employment and training programs, such as the Graduate Incentive Program and the community job bank. Organizers say the goal is to help members gain the skills they need to fill roles in the workforce and improve their professional development.
This session serves as a hub for members who may be living in different parts of the province but are looking for professional growth. By bringing employers and training providers together in one place, the First Nation aims to make it easier for people to find stable and meaningful work.
