The City of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, has moved the garbage and recycling pickup originally set for February 19, 2026, to Monday, February 23, 2026. This change comes after winter weather and snow caused delays to city services and facility openings.

Residents who were expecting a pickup on February 19 must now have their garbage and recycling containers at the curb by 8:00 AM on Monday morning. Because of the weather, all city buildings and recreation centres also had a delayed opening on February 19.

This is the second collection delay this week, as the pickup for February 18 was previously rescheduled for Saturday, February 21. The city is also reminding people that an on-street parking ban is in place until March 31, 2026, to help crews clear snow from the roads.
