Residents in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, can now explore a century of veterans’ stories through a new interactive website launched by the Royal Canadian Legion this March. The project was created to mark the 100th anniversary of the organization, which has been supporting veterans and their families since it was founded in 1926.

The new interactive history website highlights nearly 50 important dates and milestones from the last hundred years. It includes stories of both triumphs and struggles, offering a way for people to look back at how the organization has grown from its early beginnings to its current work today.

This digital tool acts as an educational resource for the local community to learn more about the history of service. In Mount Pearl, Legion Branch 36 continues to serve as a local hub for veterans and their families as the national organization marks its centenary throughout 2026.
