The HyLife pork processing plant has been named the 2026 Business of the Year by the Neepawa & District Chamber of Commerce in Neepawa, Manitoba. This recognition, announced on February 20, 2026, highlights the company’s significant role in the local economy and its history of supporting community initiatives.
The facility is currently the largest employer in the area, providing jobs for more than 1,700 people. Along with supporting a large workforce, the company has updated its local operations with water-saving systems that have helped cut utility costs by approximately $100,000 to date.
The company has also provided funding for local healthcare, including a $250,000 donation to the Neepawa Health Centre. Through its various community programs and the HyLife Fun Days events, the business has helped raise more than $1.7 million for organizations across Manitoba.
Ongoing support for the community includes partnerships with local groups like the Neepawa Titans Junior A hockey team. The company also works with the Neepawa-Gladstone Co-op to provide high-quality retail options for residents, ensuring local access to its premium products.
