Residents in Neepawa, Manitoba, can now take extra bags of household garbage to the regional landfill for free if their curbside bins are full. This service provides a no-cost way for families to handle extra waste during busy seasons or after big cleanups throughout 2026.

According to the Town of Neepawa, these extra bags can be delivered directly to Evergreen Environmental Technologies. The landfill is located nine miles west of town on Highway 16 and three miles south on Provincial Road 466.

Residents are required to show identification at the landfill to prove they live in the community before dropping off their items. While regular household waste is free, the tipping fee for specialized materials like construction and demolition debris remains at $96.25 per tonne.

The curbside collection for the town is currently managed by OSS Waste Disposal Ltd. as part of a contract that runs until December 31, 2027. This free landfill option is meant to help residents who have more trash than their provided rolling carts can hold.
