Residents in Niverville, Manitoba can now sign up for the annual Community Garage Sale, a town-wide event taking place on May 1 and May 2, 2026, which is organized by Niverville Recreation & Wellness to help neighbours declutter their homes and find local deals.
Those who register their address will be included on an official digital and printed map used to help shoppers find participating homes throughout the community. Residents can register for the event by emailing recreation@whereyoubelong.ca or by calling 204-388-4600. Participating sellers are responsible for setting their own hours and prices for their individual sales.
Following the main sale, a Giveaway Day will take place on May 3, 2026, allowing residents to place items marked as free on the curb for anyone to pick up. According to the Town of Niverville, this part of the event focuses on environmental sustainability by helping to keep usable goods out of the local landfill.
This tradition is a key event for the community, which was recently recognized as the fastest-growing town in the province.
