On March 10, 2026, voters in the Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba are heading to the polls to choose a new Chief and six Council members. This election gives residents the chance to decide on the leadership that will guide the community for the upcoming term.

In-person voting is taking place today at the Multiplex Auditorium from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Residents can visit the designated polling station to cast their ballots throughout the day.

To help more people participate, the community is also using the OneFeather platform for electronic voting. This digital option allows members to have their say in the election from any location.

Electoral Officer Stephanie Connors is managing the event, which follows an official resolution passed by the council on October 7, 2025. The leaders chosen today will oversee important local matters like health services, building projects, and environmental protection.

Candidates have spent the campaign discussing economic growth and how to best support the needs of the community. Every vote cast today helps determine the direction of the Nation for the next several years.
