Residents in Norway House, Manitoba, met with candidates for Chief and Council during a public forum on March 3, 2026, to hear their plans before the upcoming community election. This event gave the community a chance to hear directly from those running for office just one week before the final vote.
According to Electoral Officer Stephanie Connors, the Norway House Cree Nation general election will take place on March 10, 2026. The forum allowed voters to ask questions and compare the goals of each candidate before they make their final choices.
The community is using three different methods to collect votes this year to make sure everyone can participate. Residents can choose to cast their ballots in person at the Multiplex Auditorium, use the OneFeather website to vote electronically, or utilize mail-in ballots.
