Season Roulette has been elected as the new Chief of the Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba following a community vote on March 10, 2026. This leadership change is an important event for the community, which serves as a large service centre for the northern part of the province.

Residents went to the Multiplex Auditorium to cast their votes for one Chief and six council members. Stephanie Connors acted as the electoral officer for the election, which helps decide the future of local building projects and community services.

Regional leadership groups have welcomed the election results and offered their support. The Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc. and the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs both congratulated Chief Roulette and the new council on their victory.

Neighbours can expect the new administration to share their main goals and council roles in the near future. These leaders will be responsible for managing local programs and making decisions that affect daily life in the community.
