The Oromocto Reign female hockey team extended its undefeated run with a dominant 7-1 victory this past weekend in Oromocto, New Brunswick (weekend of Feb. 7–8, 2026). The win improved the Reign’s season record to 7–0–1.

Several players have been key to the team’s success. Addison Otto is the season-to-date leader with seven goals. Maci Hendershot has three goals and two assists on the season, while Avery Ott and Maci Malin have each chipped in offensively (Ott: 1 goal and 2 assists; Malin: 1 goal and 1 assist, season totals). Brooklyn Swan has helped in transition, recording two assists this season. These season totals are reported by the team/OMHA following the recent game.

Those individual contributions have helped the Reign emerge as a top side in their regional division; according to recent OMHA updates and community reports, they are the only team in their division without a loss at 7–0–1.

According to the Oromocto & Area Minor Hockey Association (OMHA), the Reign brand was created to give female players a distinct identity within the local sports community. Before the U13 Reign program grew, many local female players had to travel to nearby centres or play on mixed-gender teams to find competitive opportunities.

The team plays home games at local venues such as the Town of Oromocto’s King’s Arrow Arena, which serves as a gathering place for families in the area. Local fans have celebrated the strong start; OMHA and community observers describe it as one of the most successful starts for an Oromocto female minor hockey team in recent history.
