The Gage Golf & Curling Club in Oromocto, New Brunswick, will host the province’s top men’s curling competition, the 2026 NB Tankard, from January 27 to February 1, 2026. The tournament will determine New Brunswick’s representative at Montana’s Brier, the national men’s curling championship.
According to Curling NB’s event calendar, the multi-day tournament will bring competitive teams and is expected to draw hundreds of visitors to the region. The club has enjoyed recent national success: the Abby Burgess rink (Brooke Tracy, Samantha Crook and Hannah Williams) won the 2023 Canadian Curling Club Championship and went on to win the 2024 North American Curling Club Championship.
Local businesses such as hotels and restaurants are expected to see increased customers during the week of the NB Tankard. Organizers plan to rely on volunteers from the Oromocto community and CFB Gagetown to help run the event and welcome visitors.
This event follows the successful hosting of the 2024 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts (Jan. 17–21, 2024) at the same venue. Bringing the men’s provincial competition to Oromocto is expected to provide a mid-winter boost to the local economy while showcasing local athletic talent.
