The Durham Regional Police Service is asking the public for help locating a 16-year-old girl named Elizabeth who went missing in Oshawa, Ontario. She was last seen at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, near the intersection of Cedar Street and Wentworth Street West. Police say they are concerned for her wellbeing and have classified her as a vulnerable youth.
Elizabeth is described as a Black female, approximately 5 ft. 5 in. tall, with black and blonde braided hair. Reports indicate she was last seen in the south part of the city; Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) and local media say she was on foot in the area at the time. Officers from the DRPS Central East Division are managing the search and following up on any leads.
As reported by the Durham Post, the family is distraught and there have been no confirmed sightings of Elizabeth since she disappeared. Residents and business owners in the Cedar Street and Wentworth Street West area are being asked to review doorbell and dashcam footage from the evening of January 13 for any images of the teen.
