The City of Owen Sound, Ontario, has officially closed the Good Cheer Outdoor Rink at Harrison Park for the 2025-2026 season. The popular outdoor spot wrapped up its operations on March 5, 2026, after providing residents with several months of winter activity.
The rink first opened for the season on December 22, 2025, and remained operational for nearly the entire winter. According to city officials, the ice was available to the public for all but three days during its run.
The facility is managed by the city in partnership with the Scenic City Order of Good Cheer. This group helps maintain the artificial ice surface at Harrison Park so local families have a place to skate or play hockey throughout the colder months.
While outdoor skating has ended for the year, residents can still take part in free indoor public skating sessions. The city is encouraging families to use these indoor rinks, particularly during the upcoming March Break.
