The Town of Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador, has started mailing out its 2026 municipal tax bills to more than 10,000 homes and businesses this February. These bills are part of the community’s new $52 million budget, which pays for local services such as snow clearing, road work, and recreation programs.
Even though the budget has grown to meet the needs of the town, the Town of Paradise has kept tax rates the same as last year. The residential rate stays at 7.4 and the commercial rate stays at 11.5, meaning the town is not increasing the tax percentage it charges property owners.
A homeowner’s total bill might still change if the value of their property was adjusted by the Municipal Assessment Agency. Since the tax bill is calculated using these property values, residents should check their statements carefully to ensure all information is correct.
The deadline to pay without facing interest charges is March 28. The Town of Paradise offers several ways to pay and asks that anyone who has not received their bill by the middle of February contact the town office to check their account.
