The Peguis Health Centre in Peguis First Nation, Manitoba, is seeking local residents to fill several casual job openings. Between February 2 and February 3, 2026, the community posted notices recruiting for kitchen (Dietary Aide), housekeeping/laundry, and Health Care Aide (HCA) casual positions to support patients and seniors.

These positions are based at the Peguis Health Centre and the Peguis Senior Centre, where workers will support the care of community Elders. The roles are offered on a casual basis, allowing residents to take flexible work hours that fit their personal schedules while gaining experience in the healthcare field.

Peguis First Nation officials say these jobs are part of a larger effort to provide better care and more local employment opportunities. By hiring locally, the health centre aims to ensure residents receive support from people who live nearby and understand the community.

Residents who want to apply can do so through the Peguis Training & Employment office (and/or the Health Centre’s human resources department) via the Peguis First Nation website. The health centre is offering on-the-job training for these roles to help people learn new skills as they work.
