Pembroke, ON – The City of Pembroke has posted a “Coming Soon” notice that its signature winter carnival, SnoSpree, will return in February 2026, timed to run through the week leading up to Family Day on Monday, February 16, 2026.

The multi-day event, run by the City of Pembroke’s Parks and Recreation (Recreation and Culture) Department with support from Pembroke City Council and local partners, will include indoor skating at the Pembroke Memorial Centre, outdoor skating at Riverside Park (and other outdoor rinks such as Rotary Park), film screenings at Festival Hall Centre for the Arts, Junior A hockey games featuring the Pembroke Lumber Kings, and family-friendly activities throughout the downtown core.

Funding for SnoSpree comes from the municipal recreation budget and corporate sponsors, even as council works within a modest budget approved in December 2025. “A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out and supported SnoSpree. We loved celebrating winter with you! From exciting events to memorable moments, it wouldn’t have been the same without you. Stay tuned for updates on Snospree 2026. We can’t wait to do it all again!” said the City of Pembroke’s Parks and Recreation Department in its SnoSpree announcement.

Local businesses, coordinated by the Pembroke Business Improvement Area, plan winter sales and themed storefronts to welcome the extra foot traffic, while tourism partners such as the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association often help promote the carnival to visitors across Renfrew County and the Ottawa region. City staff and volunteers typically manage facility schedules and, when required, coordinate temporary traffic measures for downtown events to keep activities running smoothly.
