Lanark County’s administrative offices at 99 Christie Lake Road will close at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2026, and remain closed through Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, for the New Year holiday. In-person services and appointments will be suspended during that period.
All in-person administrative services — including social services, public works administration and land division services — will be unavailable, but urgent help remains available. Residents facing homelessness can call the After‑Hours Homelessness Response line at 613-206-1486 (available evenings, weekends and holidays). For emergency social assistance call 613-267-4200 ext. 2140 (regular business hours Mon–Fri 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; voicemail/remote checks may be monitored outside those hours). For life‑threatening emergencies dial 9‑1‑1; for non‑emergency police matters contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.
Additional supports include community services information through 2‑1‑1 Ontario and emergency broadcasts on 88.1 myFM, as outlined on the Lanark County Emergency Preparedness page. Essential operational services — including long‑term care at Lanark Lodge, paramedic services and winter road crews — will continue to operate.
Regular office hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) will resume on Friday, Jan. 3, 2026.
