The Perth & District Chamber of Commerce is launching a new series of “After 5” marketing workshops in Perth, ON, beginning January 15, 2026, to help small businesses finalize their marketing plans for the year. Held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings at rotating member venues, these sessions aim to deliver quick, practical tactics that business owners can apply right away.

Each workshop will feature a 45-minute “power session” followed by an hour of peer networking and Q&A. Expected topics for the winter and spring lineup include social media strategy, local SEO best practices and AI-driven advertising techniques. Venues will rotate among member hosts such as Bridgemasters Brewing and professional service offices to showcase local businesses.

The series is organized by the Perth & District Chamber of Commerce. The Small Business Advisory Centre (SBAC) Smiths Falls/Lanark County is a frequent regional partner for business programming in Lanark County and may be involved in this initiative; the Chamber’s event page or the SBAC should be contacted for confirmation. Paloma Zander, Executive Director of the Perth & District Chamber of Commerce, said the evening format responds to feedback from owner-operators who can’t attend daytime seminars and is intended to combine networking with hands-on learning so businesses have actionable steps for 2026.

Historically, Perth “After 5” events have charged about $10 for members and $25 for non-members, but specialized workshops can sometimes carry higher fees. Confirm current rates on the Chamber’s event registration pages before publishing pricing. Advance registration will be through the Chamber’s event calendar; locations are typically posted about 30 days before each session.

Local retailers, tour operators and service providers are invited to join these focused sessions to sharpen their marketing efforts ahead of Perth’s busy tourism season. For more information and to reserve a spot, business owners can visit the Chamber’s online events page at perthchamber.com.
