The City of Pitt Meadows is starting the new year with a free, bird‑themed art exhibit — “Molly Gray: Our Feathered Friends” — opening January 24, 2026. The show at the Pitt Meadows Art Gallery in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, features paintings, photographs and sculptures of local bird species.

The exhibit is located on the main floor of the South Bonson Community Centre and is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free; the City of Pitt Meadows says keeping gallery admission free makes it easier for families and local school groups to visit and enjoy local art.

Many of the artworks focus on wildlife found at the nearby Pitt Polder Ecological Reserve, including the Great Blue Heron and the South Coastal Sandhill Crane. The Sandhill Crane is a well‑known local species and a symbol of regional conservation efforts.

The show includes pieces from regional artists and members of the Katzie First Nation. The City of Pitt Meadows and its Arts & Culture department say the gallery provides a strong way for the community to connect with local creators.

Visitors arriving at the gallery will be welcomed outside by “Big Bird,” a large upcycled‑metal sculpture by Ron Simmer (a propane tank formed the body and a rake made up the tail). The exhibit runs until March 1, 2026, giving residents several weeks to explore the nature‑inspired collection.
