According to the Ponoka Minor Hockey Association (PMHA) Parallax Energy Goalie Hour listing, PMHA will host a one-hour goaltender clinic on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at the Ponoka Arena Complex (small ice) in Ponoka, AB. The session runs from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and is open to U11 to U18 goalies registered with the association.

The clinic is led by Kraymer Barnstable of Stable in the Net — a former WHL goaltender (Vancouver Giants) and a current Red Deer city councillor — and is sponsored by Parallax Energy. Barnstable will focus on technical movements, puck tracking and rebound control to help local goalies improve core skills.

The event is part of a series of Sunday-evening goalie hours designed to fill a gap in specialized coaching for smaller associations. Funding for PMHA programming comes in part from a 24-hour hockey-game fundraiser held in early 2025 that raised approximately $6,200, money that the association has used to subsidize goalie clinics and power-skating sessions.

PMHA’s listing asks participants to RSVP via TeamSnap for this session. Sessions are typically capped at about 12–15 goalies to keep instructor-to-player ratios low; parents are advised to register early (the association recommends checking team communications or the registration portal at least two weeks before an event).

For up-to-date registration instructions and to confirm session date, time and participant limits, parents should consult the Ponoka Minor Hockey Association website or their team’s TeamSnap communications.
