The City of Port Alberni, British Columbia, is holding a meeting on March 16, 2026, to discuss a draft plan that will determine how people move through the community over the next two decades.

The city will review the Transportation Master Plan during a Committee of the Whole session starting at 6:00 pm. This plan highlights long-term goals for local roads, bus services, and paths for people walking or cycling.

Residents and business owners have the opportunity to provide feedback on these infrastructure priorities. These meetings are meant to be a forum for debate and community input before the City Council makes any final decisions on the proposal.

This effort is part of a larger push to modernize city streets and prepare for future growth. By joining the discussion, community members can help influence how the city handles traffic, public transportation, and pedestrian safety in the coming years.
