Environment Canada says Port Colborne, Ontario, will stay warm and sunny through much of the week, with Tuesday bringing the hottest conditions in the current forecast. The high is expected to reach 27 C today, and it could feel like 30 C with the Humidex.
The warmup follows a Monday high of 24 C, which was already above the area’s May normal of 21 C. Sunshine is expected to hold through Thursday, giving residents several days of clear weather for outdoor plans.
Sun protection will be important today. Environment Canada says the UV index is 8, which is considered very high, and clear skies can make unprotected skin burn quickly.
Temperatures are expected to ease later in the week, with highs near 20 C on Friday and 19 C on Saturday and Sunday. That would bring conditions closer to seasonal levels by the weekend.
