Sixteen local restaurants in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, are participating in a winter dining festival running from January 16 to February 8, 2026. This annual event, known as Dine Out Prince Rupert, is designed to support the community by encouraging people to eat out during the slower winter months.

The festival is organized by Tourism Prince Rupert and features multi-course, set-price (prix-fixe) menus. According to the North Coast Review, these menus allow diners to try new recipes and seasonal ingredients at a predictable cost.

People can take part in a contest by using a festival passport to collect stamps from different locations, such as the Pavilion Restaurant or OV Burger Bar. Only one stamp per restaurant is valid; anyone who visits at least three different restaurants during the event is eligible to enter a draw for prizes (Visit Prince Rupert notes completed passports must be submitted by the posted deadline).

A wide range of businesses are involved, including local favourites like the Crest Hotel, Opa Sushi, and the Cow Bay Cafe. Organizers recommend making reservations in advance—especially for fine-dining venues such as the Crest Hotel and Opa Sushi—to ensure a spot.
