Hockey New Brunswick opened applications for several scholarships and community awards on February 12, 2026, to support families in Quispamsis and Rothesay with the costs of post-secondary education and to recognize local athletic contributions. These programs provide financial assistance for graduating students and celebrate the volunteers who maintain community hockey programs.

Graduating high school students who are members of the Kennebecasis Valley Minor Hockey Association (KVMHA) are eligible to apply for these academic grants. The KVMHA is one of the largest associations in the province, currently supporting more than 60 different teams for players ranging from U7 to U18.

The available funding includes general provincial scholarships, the Tracy Arsenault Memorial Women’s hockey scholarship, and specific awards from the New Brunswick Hockey Officials Association (NBHOA). To qualify, students must typically demonstrate strong academic standing and active volunteerism within their community.

The provincial organization is also seeking nominations for its annual Awards and Scholarships program. This includes honors such as the Volunteer of the Year and the Community Club of the Year, which recognize the dedication shown during the 2025-2026 season.

While the awards celebrate achievements from the current season, the scholarships are designed to help students transition to post-secondary education in the fall. Families and volunteers can access the necessary application forms and nomination details on the Hockey New Brunswick website.
