The Town of Quispamsis, New Brunswick, has launched a family scavenger-hunt challenge called Frosty Finds to help residents get outside during the winter months. This activity is part of the larger Fundy Winterfest, which brings outdoor events to several communities across the region and runs from January 17 to March 8, 2026.

Participants use a smartphone or handheld GPS to find hidden weatherproof containers (known as caches) along trails at Meenan’s Cove Park, the Hammond River Nature Park, and the Arts & Culture Park. Families can download a digital tracking sheet or pick up a paper copy at the qplex to record the unique code or “punch” found inside each container.

The Town of Quispamsis Community Services Department created the hunt to encourage people to explore local parks and trails at no cost. Organizers say the goal is to provide a simple way for neighbours to stay active and enjoy nature during the peak of the winter season.

People who find the hidden items can submit their completed forms for a chance to win prize packs from Fundy Winterfest. The regional festival brings together Quispamsis, Saint John and neighbouring towns including Rothesay, Hampton, Grand Bay–Westfield and Fundy-St. Martins to offer expanded local recreation options.
