Residents in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, can now register for community activities and winter programs for February 2026; registration opened on January 25, 2026. These programs include a variety of indoor options like youth hockey, ice skating, and social clubs for seniors designed to keep people active during the coldest part of the year.

The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick and the town’s Community Services Department are offering specific activities like “Tykes with Sticks” hockey and the Forget Me Not Club for older adults. Most of these events will take place at the qplex or the Quispamsis Memorial Arena, providing residents with warm, indoor spaces for exercise and socializing.

You can sign up for these programs through the online portal, by calling (506) 848-5900, or by visiting the office at the qplex in person. Since popular activities like the indoor walking track and certain skating times often reach capacity within the first 48 hours of registration, the town encourages early sign-up.

People living in Rothesay are also welcome to join these activities, often at the same rates as local (Kennebecasis Valley) residents under the towns’ reciprocal arrangements. Families who may need financial assistance to help their children participate in sports or programs can reach out to P.R.O. Kids to learn about available financial assistance (P.R.O. Kids grants can cover registration, equipment, and transportation costs).
