The YMCA of Northern Alberta is recruiting over 40 local makers and small businesses to join a new Spring Market at the Northside Community Centre YMCA in Red Deer. Vendor application windows opened Feb. 2–3, 2026, as organizers begin planning the community event.

The market will be free for the public to attend and is designed as a family-friendly day. Organizers say the market will feature a dedicated family game zone for kids and a bouncy pirate ship alongside local shopping stalls.

Business owners who want to take part can apply through the official YMCA of Northern Alberta rentals portal or by contacting the Northside Community Centre directly. The market will be held at the Northside Community Centre, which is located at 6391 76 Street in the Glendale neighbourhood.

The Red Deer Advocate reported Feb. 2, 2026, that the city is accepting applications for bookings of recreation and community spaces for fall 2026 and winter 2027. YMCA organizers say the Spring Market aims to give small businesses a way to connect directly with residents in northwest Red Deer.
