The Ross Street Patio Concert Series continues its summer run in downtown Red Deer, Alberta, with a free folk music performance by Kearstin Pfeifer today, August 7, 2026. The show runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Ross Street Patio, located at 4930C 50 Street.
The concert is part of a larger initiative to animate Red Deer’s downtown core through live music and community entertainment. The series offers free outdoor concerts every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday through September 30, featuring three different Canadian artists each week.
The Ross Street Patio is operated through a partnership between The City of Red Deer and the Downtown Business Association. Since June 2022, it has been designated as Red Deer’s first Entertainment District, allowing adults to consume alcohol purchased from on-site vendors within the district boundaries. The district operates from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, on the north side of Ross (50) Street, between 49 Avenue and 50 Avenue.
“We’re excited to partner with the Downtown Business Association on this innovative project to enhance Ross Street Patio, one of our community’s favourite gathering places,” said Konrad Dunbar, Engineering Manager with The City of Red Deer. “We are confident that this initiative, in combination with other downtown revitalization projects, will noticeably increase the vibrancy and positive use of our downtown core.”
Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring their own seating and enjoy the evening of live music. The event is part of a broader effort to support local musicians and enhance Red Deer’s reputation as a cultural hub in Central Alberta.
