The City of Red Deer, Alberta, is asking residents to help confirm the findings of a major project that will shape local services for the next 12 years. From February 25 to March 3, 2026, households can review a report based on community feedback to ensure it accurately reflects what the community wants for the future.

This plan, known as the Community Compass, acts as a guide for how the city will manage things like transit, parks, and emergency response through 2037. It follows the Living in Red Deer Survey, which released findings in early 2026 after collecting feedback from more than 2,000 residents in late 2025.

Residents are encouraged to provide their final input by completing a survey on the Engage Red Deer website by the end of the day on March 3, 2026. This step ensures that the city correctly understood the feedback gathered over the past year regarding social supports, recreation, and local planning.

City staff will use this information to finish the master plan before it is presented to the Red Deer City Council for their support later in March 2026. By confirming these findings now, residents help ensure that future spending on projects like bus routes and recreation centres lines up with their actual needs.
