Residents can now secure tickets and help pick the best parade entry for Westerner Days, which returns to Red Deer from July 15 to 19, 2026 at Westerner Park.
Advance passes are on sale for the 134th edition of the fair, one of central Alberta’s longest-running community celebrations. Tickets are available through the Westerner Days website, with daily gate admission priced at $24.99 for adults, $17.99 for youth aged 6 to 12, and $17.99 for seniors 60 and older.
The Ride All Day Pass bundles unlimited midway rides with gate admission for a single day. Organizers stress that this pass must be bought online before July 15 at 11:59 a.m. Anyone arriving on opening day, a Wednesday, gets a 50 per cent break on the daily admission, dropping the adult price to $12.49. Gates open at noon daily and stay open until midnight.
The traditional kick-off parade rolls through downtown Red Deer on July 15 at 9:30 a.m., and for the first time the public can vote for their favourite float through an online ballot at form.jotform.com/westerner/vote. Parade applications closed June 15.
Throughout the five-day fair, visitors can take in the RCMP Musical Ride from Friday to Sunday, the North American Pony Chuckwagon Championships, a full midway provided by West Coast Amusements, daily fireworks, and live entertainment. Tourism Red Deer is again running the Westerner Days Attractions Pass from July 4 to 19, letting people collect points at local pancake breakfasts and barbecues to earn free gate admission.
