On January 15, 2026, an adult man was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Albert Street in Regina, Saskatchewan. The collision occurred during the morning commute on Albert Street between 14th Avenue and Victoria Avenue, near the downtown core.

The Regina Police Service said EMS attended the scene, treated the man, and transported him to hospital for further assessment of injuries described as appearing to be non-life-threatening.

Police temporarily closed both northbound and southbound lanes while emergency crews worked at the scene, causing significant traffic congestion and forcing several Regina Transit routes to detour through the downtown core, according to police and local reports. The Regina Police Service later posted that both lanes had reopened; the closure lasted more than two hours.

The Regina Police Service urged motorists to take care in winter driving conditions, noting road surfaces can be slippery and harder to navigate.
