The Regina Police Service charged four people following a one-day targeted enforcement operation at two local businesses in Regina, Saskatchewan, on February 25, 2026. Officers focused on stores that are known targets for theft to help make shopping areas safer for residents and businesses.
The operation took place in the 3900 block of Rochdale Boulevard and the 1000 block of North Pasqua Street. In addition to the four people charged with shoplifting, police arrested a fifth person who had outstanding warrants.
During the project, officers recovered several stolen items, including electronics, office supplies, a watch, and spray paint. This enforcement is part of a larger plan to stop repeat shoplifters and identify crime trends across the city.
Police are encouraging businesses to use an online reporting system to help track frequent offenders more effectively. This effort follows a community survey from 2025 that showed while most residents trust the police, many feel slightly less safe than they did in previous years.
