In Renfrew, the Renfrew Minor Hockey Association (RMHA) has posted its 2025–26 schedule listing 304 games, including 11 tournaments and 76 games in December; 30 scheduled games are currently marked as “unreported.” The full slate is live on the RMHA schedule and represents a large season for the town’s newly expanded dual-pad myFM Centre.

The busy calendar is possible thanks to the recent expansion of the Ma-te-Way/myFM Centre, which added a second ice pad (Pad 2 — B.E.I.) in early 2024 as part of a roughly $69 million expansion. Shawn Eckford, the Town of Renfrew’s recreation operations supervisor, said, “The Town of Renfrew is excited to be able to open the new ice pad to user groups… working with a team of painters to develop a surface that will stand up to hundreds of free skates and hockey games.” (Town media coverage, Aug. 5, 2025)

Managing ice time for 304 games will require extra volunteers and referees. Pad flooding, locker-room cleaning and game-day equipment checks will fall to rink staff and community helpers. Scheduling also requires coordination with the Renfrew Wolves (Junior A), the Renfrew Timberwolves (Junior B) and local figure skating clubs, which share ice priority at the centre.

Visiting teams from Arnprior, Pembroke, Petawawa and Barry’s Bay appear frequently on the schedule. The Dec. 6 U13 Rep home tournament and Dec. 13 U11 Rep home tournament could increase demand for local accommodations; families and coaches are being advised to arrange lodging in advance for those home events.

The online schedule also shows an anomaly: several December games already display final scores, despite being months away, and 30 games are flagged as “unreported.” The issue appears to be a technical data synchronization problem between the Sportsheadz platform and previous-season records (some past results appear to have been rolled into 2025 placeholders). RMHA’s public schedule materials indicate these “ghost results” are being identified for correction; teams and fans are advised to check the RMHA schedule regularly for updated results and finalized listings.
