The Renfrew Minor Hockey Association will host its U13 House B and C tournament at the myFM Centre in Renfrew from January 9 to 11, 2026. Sanctioned by Hockey Eastern Ontario as HEO Sanction #25-019, the three-day tournament will bring dozens of house-league teams to compete mid-season.
Games will run across the facility’s multiple ice pads in a multi-game format; teams are scheduled to play multiple contests. The January weekend slot follows a high-demand January 2025 tournament that saw early registration closures and gives house-league players a chance to sharpen their skills before playoffs.
The event is expected to draw over 1,000 players, coaches and family members. Local hotels, cafés and restaurants typically report busy weekends, and the association relies on community sponsorships and registration fees to cover costs. Volunteers are needed for timekeeping, scorekeeping and venue support. RMHA has highlighted a push for updated volunteer background checks and is asking helpers to complete Vulnerable Sector Checks in line with 2025–26 safety guidelines.
The newly expanded myFM Centre—formerly the Ma-te-way Activity Centre—offers more ice time and upgraded lobby space. That expansion allows RMHA to keep events within the community rather than moving games to nearby towns. Registration details are available on the Renfrew Minor Hockey website.
