The Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce is planning a “Let’s Talk Taxes” session for early-career professionals in late February 2025. The session is expected to run from about 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.; the Chamber’s events page will list the confirmed date and venue.
Theme experts — including local Chartered Professional Accountants and tax consultants — will be identified with different-coloured name tags so attendees can approach them for one-on-one or small-group conversations. The informal Q&A format avoids formal lectures and is designed to let participants ask about credits, deductions and basic bookkeeping in a relaxed setting.
The session is open to Chamber members and non-members; registration details and the confirmed event listing are available on the Chamber’s events page: https://members.slchamber.ca/communityevents. The event is targeted at young professionals (the Chamber generally describes its Young Professionals Network as early‑career professionals, commonly categorized as under 40).
The “Let’s Talk Taxes” session is part of the Chamber’s effort to make its Young Professionals Network more accessible and practically useful. In 2024 the Sarnia Lambton Chamber was recognized for having the highest membership growth among Canadian chambers of its size, and recent programming has shifted toward informal, community-focused events rather than traditional suit-and-tie gatherings.
