The Sarnia Police Service arrested two men on March 2, 2026, after an early morning stabbing left a 36-year-old man with serious head and facial injuries. Officers were called to the 200 block of Devine Street in Sarnia, Ontario, where they found the victim before he was taken to Bluewater Health for medical care.

Investigators at the scene followed a trail of blood that led them from the home on Devine Street to another residence nearby on Vidal Street. After arriving at the second location, police ordered two men to come outside and arrested them after seeing blood on their clothing.

The two men, 60-year-old Curtis Plain and 57-year-old Randolf Robinson, are both of no fixed address and were held in custody following bail hearings. They both face charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm, while Plain faces an additional charge for disobeying a court order.

Police officers recovered two knives during the investigation and noted that while the victim’s injuries are serious, they are not expected to be life-threatening. This area of the city has been under increased police attention following previous reports of violence, including a standoff involving a firearm in 2025.

The Sarnia Police Service Board recently confirmed that the current police leadership will remain in place, with Chief Derek Davis’s contract extended through 2032. Local investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them as they continue their work on the case.
