The City of Selkirk, Manitoba, is inviting local organizations and service groups to update their information for the 2026 Community Information Guide — the City’s annual “Blue Book.” The Blue Book is mailed to every address in Selkirk each spring and helps residents find local services and stay connected.

Organizations that want to be included in the mailed/print edition must submit their details by Sunday, February 8, 2026. Groups can fill out a free online form on the city’s website to promote their Selkirk-based service, event, program, group, or organization.

The guide serves as a central directory for local information, including curbside garbage and recycling schedules and meeting information for the mayor and council. The city ties the Blue Book to its Selkirk Now strategy, which emphasizes maintaining a “hometown feel” while managing growth and improving residents’ access to services.

While the city uses digital tools such as apps and websites, officials say the physical book remains a priority because it reaches every household. The 2026 edition aims to provide a verified list of local contacts to serve the city’s residents — about 10,504 people recorded in the 2021 Census — ensuring consistent information is available regardless of technology access.
