The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba is bringing its Minds in Motion program to the Gordon Howard Centre in Selkirk, Manitoba. The sessions will run on Wednesdays from April 1, 2026, to May 20, 2026.
The program is designed to connect people living with early to moderate signs of dementia and their care partners. It uses physical activity and social engagement to help participants build connections with others in the community.
Each weekly session will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The initiative offers a safe and friendly environment for residents to focus on brain health through fitness and mental stimulation.
Residents do not need a formal medical diagnosis to join the program. This allows seniors who are concerned about memory changes to access support and engage in social activities more easily.
Those who are interested in signing up for the sessions in Selkirk can register by calling 1-204-785-2092.
