Volunteer Manitoba’s site lists the 2026 ceremony as the 42nd Annual Volunteer Awards. The awards celebrate community service across multiple categories, including Youth leadership and the Premier’s Volunteer Service Award. Nominations are due January 30, 2026, and the awards ceremony is scheduled for April 30, 2026, in Winnipeg (Club Regent Event Centre).
Submissions are accepted through Volunteer Manitoba’s online nomination portal. Nominators must complete the online nomination form (the application asks three questions about the nominee’s volunteer work) and may upload supporting materials; the guidelines note you can combine supporting materials into a single attachment. Selkirk has a record of past recipients at the provincial awards. Parker Pelletier (Selkirk) is a recent recipient of the Premier’s Volunteer Service Award (Youth category) — listed by Volunteer Manitoba and the Province among past winners in 2022. René Gauthier has also been recognized in Volunteer Manitoba/municipal coverage for his long-standing work with the Community Kitchen, school breakfast programs and local affordable housing efforts.
