Sherwood Park residents can get fit with local enforcement officers this summer through a new free workout program. Strathcona County Enforcement Services is launching “Fitness with the Fuzz” on July 8, 2026, at Millennium Place. The weekly sessions will run every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. through August 26.

The first session happens indoors at Millennium Place, but most workouts will take place outside in front of the RCMP and Enforcement Services detachment at 911 Bison Way. The final session on August 26 also moves back to Millennium Place. Organizers say poor weather may push other sessions indoors as well.

Anyone 16 and older can drop in without registering. Each week, a different policing or public safety group leads the workout and brings a recruiter to chat about careers. Strathcona County Enforcement Services kicks things off on July 8, followed by F45 Training on July 15 and Edmonton Police Service on July 22. Four more agencies will be announced for later dates.

The program is part of Strathcona County’s safety events, which also include a Bike Rodeo, Public Safety Showcase, and community town halls. A full schedule is posted on the Strathcona County safety events page.

“Fitness with the Fuzz gives people a casual way to stay active and learn about careers in policing and public safety,” the county says. For more details, call Strathcona County Communications at 780-410-6595.
