Sidney’s Mary Winspear Centre will close its box office from December 22, 2024, through January 2, 2025, and fully close the building on December 24, December 31 and January 1. Patrons planning to pick up tickets or attend events over the holidays will need to adjust to the temporary shutdown.

According to the official events and closure notice, the box office will be closed from December 22 through January 2 (inclusive), while the building will be fully closed on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Regular box office hours (Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM–5:00 PM) — with the usual lunch closure — resume on January 3, 2025.

All ticket sales during the closure must go through the venue’s online ticketing portal. Phone support and in-person pick-ups will not be available during the closure, so customers should print or download e-tickets in advance.

The venue’s general policy is to open the theatre one hour before showtime for ticket holders; however, the closure notice does not explicitly confirm whether doors will open for the New Year’s Eve performance. The Peninsula News Review has listed a duo scheduled for Dec. 31, but patrons should confirm access and pick-up arrangements with the Mary Winspear Centre or the event listing before attending.

For more details on reopening and contact information, patrons can visit the Mary Winspear Centre contact page or check event schedules on the centre’s website.
