Nackawic Elementary School released its February 2026 newsletter on Feb. 5, giving families in Southampton and Nackawic, New Brunswick, a clear look at student progress and upcoming activities. The monthly newsletter is designed to help parents stay involved in their children’s education by outlining specific learning targets for the rest of the winter term.

A key part of the update focuses on the school’s REACH program — Respect, Effort, Attitude, Cooperation, Honesty — a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)-style initiative. The school’s February 5 newsletter reports a median 35% participation/achievement rate on REACH measures for the month.

Staff at Nackawic Elementary use these reports to keep lines of communication open with the wider Nackawic-Millville Rural Community. Because many families live in dispersed rural areas, the school distributes digital updates via its ASD-W portal and social channels to share news about student wellness and classroom achievements.

Nackawic Elementary is part of the Anglophone West School District (ASD-W), which oversees 70 schools in the district. Provincial archival records show Nackawic became the area’s central education hub following consolidation of smaller Southampton-area schools in the late 1960s.
