The Spruce Grove and District Agricultural Heritage Society is hosting a community Games Night on Saturday, May 9, 2026, to offer residents a chance to socialize inside one of the city’s most famous landmarks in Spruce Grove, Alberta.
The event is set to run from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Spruce Grove Grain Elevator Museum. This evening is a licensed event, with attendance restricted to visitors who are 12 years of age or older. Participants will be able to purchase snacks and licensed beverages while they enjoy a variety of board games and card games throughout the night.
Interested residents can find tickets for the event through Eventbrite. The organizers are using the evening to invite people into the historic space for a night of leisure and community connection instead of a traditional museum tour.
The museum is a significant piece of local history, as it is the last remaining wooden grain elevator on the CN Rail line west of Edmonton. The building was originally built in 1958 and was operated by the Alberta Wheat Pool until 1995 when it was saved from demolition. Because of its importance to the area’s farming past, the building is now officially designated as a Provincial Historic Resource.
