A freezing fog advisory was issued for St. Thomas, Ontario, on the morning of February 14, 2026, creating dangerous conditions for drivers across the region. The thick fog moved in early on Saturday morning, significantly reducing how far people could see on local roads and highways.

According to Environment Canada, visibility dropped to only 200 metres at the London International Airport shortly after 7:00 a.m. This weather is listed as a Yellow Advisory under the national colour-coded system, which identifies weather that has a moderate impact on daily travel and makes conditions hazardous.

Because temperatures were as low as -10.2°C during the advisory, the fog can cause ice to build up suddenly on road surfaces and windshields. To stay safe, anyone travelling this morning is encouraged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain a large following distance between vehicles.

While the heavy fog is expected to clear up by the late morning hours, the forecast suggests that more fog patches will likely return near midnight. The middle of the day is expected to stay mainly sunny once the morning visibility issues end.
