Volunteers in St. Thomas, Ontario, have a new opportunity to learn about community service and fundraising following the opening of registration for a regional conference. Rotary District 6330 announced registration for its 2026 District Conference on January 15, 2026; the event will bring together members from across Southwestern Ontario and Southeastern Michigan.

Local clubs such as the Rotary Club of St. Thomas and the St. Thomas Railway City Rotary Club use these meetings to plan major projects. Local leaders such as Teresa Ethen (President, Rotary Club of St. Thomas) and Ian Pay (President, St. Thomas Railway City Rotary Club) will be looking for new ways to support local causes, including recent initiatives tied to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital’s Transforming Tomorrow campaign.

The gathering allows local members to connect with neighbouring groups to share ideas on how to raise money and run volunteer projects more effectively. Attendees will also hear updates on global efforts to end polio and learn about Rotary International’s new long-term “Unite for Good” message — adopted for 2025–26 as part of a move away from annually rotating presidential themes toward more consistent branding.

These regional meetings are especially important for training the people who will lead local clubs for the 2026–27 club year; Rotary officers’ terms begin on July 1, 2026. Because District 6330 includes both Canadian and American clubs, St. Thomas members can also find partners for larger projects that require international cooperation, including Global Grants that need cross-border partnerships.

Residents interested in joining a club or learning more about these service projects can find more information on Rotary District 6330’s website. Local members can register for the event now to prepare for their upcoming year of community work in St. Thomas.
