The Pembina Threshermens Museum (PTM) is hosting a community pickerel fish fry on January 28, 2026, to raise money for local projects and museum upkeep in Stanley, Manitoba. Residents can visit the grounds starting at 4:30 p.m. to support initiatives across the Pembina Valley, including youth programming and historical preservation.

The museum is located at 24102 PTH 3 on Highway 3 between Morden and Winkler. The fundraiser helps support the museum’s maintenance of historical buildings such as the outdoor pioneer village and its indoor 1920s-style village street.

Diners can pick up a meal with the choice of eating inside or using a drive-thru option. The menu features fried pickerel served with fries, coleslaw, and homemade berry or rhubarb crumbles for dessert.

Museum manager Kimberly Striemer said these community meals are a major part of the museum’s off-season budget. The money raised will help keep the museum’s agricultural exhibits and historical artifacts in good condition for visitors.

Similar fundraisers in the Pembina Valley have sold between 500 and 1,800 meals in a single evening, according to local event archives.
