The Stettler District Agricultural Society released a formal recap of the Heartland Cattlemen’s Classic, which was held at the Stettler Agriplex in Stettler, Alberta, from January 30 to February 1, 2026. The society published its official results and highlights in early February 2026.
The three-day event brought together purebred and commercial cattle breeders, agricultural partners and local youth. Programming at the Agriplex included bull and heifer shows (including a pen-of-bulls showcase), a junior show for younger exhibitors, a trade show and a Cattlemen’s Social to give local cattle owners and industry partners a relaxed setting for networking and information exchange.
This year’s Classic drew exhibitors from across Alberta and the northern United States, providing a mid-winter economic boost to Stettler’s hotels and businesses. Organizers said they offered more than $14,000 in prizes and awards to recognize participating breeders and producers.
Stettler County lists the event on its calendar as a three-day congress and networking opportunity for producers. The Stettler District Agricultural Society says it uses shows such as the Heartland Cattlemen’s Classic to foster community engagement and encourage participation in the local agricultural industry.
