Environment Canada has ended a fog advisory for Stonewall, Manitoba, and the surrounding area on Friday, February 13, 2026. The alert was lifted at 2:34 PM after thick fog that made travel difficult began to clear throughout the afternoon.
Visibility has now improved to 11 kilometres at the nearest reporting station. This is a major improvement over the near-zero visibility that drivers faced earlier today across the R.M. of Rockwood.
The clearing comes as temperatures in the region remain much warmer than the usual -8°C for this time of year. The community can expect a high of -1°C today, with temperatures climbing as high as +5°C by Sunday.
While the fog has cleared, residents should prepare for a return to winter weather early next week. The forecast predicts periods of snow and wind starting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, which could once again make travel difficult on local roads.
