The City of Stratford and Destination Stratford are bringing back Doors Open Stratford on April 18 and 19, 2026, after a 10-year break. This weekend will give residents and visitors in Stratford, Ontario, a chance to visit local landmarks and historical buildings for free.
Most participating locations will offer free tours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the two-day event. This year’s lineup includes stops at the Stratford City Hall, the Perth County Courthouse, and the Stratford Perth Museum, which is currently showing a special exhibit about Justin Bieber.
This local event will be the first one held in the province for the 2026 season of Doors Open Ontario. It marks the 25th anniversary of the provincial program, which aims to help people explore hidden spots and famous sites in their own communities at no cost.
The weekend also features evening activities called Doors Open After Dark. These plans include world music at the Copperlight venue, formerly known as Knox Church, and a documentary screening at City Hall with director Moze Mossanen.
Local businesses, including several historic inns and restaurants, are also offering special hospitality packages during the weekend. This effort is meant to support local shops and landmarks during the spring season.
